Last week, students around the country went back to school. For many college students, the week marked their first taste of freedom, as they moved into dorm rooms away from home. The move will lead many to forge lifelong friendships with their new roommates. But, sadly, for the majority of freshmen, the roommate honeymoon is coming to an end just about now, as students come to realize just how badly they’ve been mismatched.
For instance, many readers of The Great Geek Manual would consider a hardcore geek to be an ideal roommate, never considering the downside:
1.) He may consider the food inside the fridge to be both eaten and uneaten until opened, but you know there’s nothing in there but biological experiments.

Yesterday, college students around the country start classes. As much as I wish I could back to those halcyon days of campus quads and cafeteria food, thinking back, college wasn’t it was crack up to be.
For instance, it’s funny how much college is like prison. Both universities and prisons are state-run institutions. Both inmates and students are photographed and issued a serial number upon arrival. Not to mention that both college and prison pretty much represent the bottom rung to most of the rest of society.
There are, however, a few key differences.
1. Before entering a correctional facility, prisoners must undergo a cavity search.
Tuition only feels like a cavity search.
