For four minutes, I wanted to shut this video off. I just couldn’t. It was too bad – like a car accident you can’t stop staring at. It’s absolutely mind-blowing how bad this video is.

My first thought was that this was done in front of a green screen, but evidently, it was filmed at the 5th Avenue store on an actual demo laptop.

A while back, Microsoft released this video encouraging folks to hold their own Windows 7 Launch Party, evidently having learned that spending millions to roll out their latest clunker is pointless. Unfortunately, the video was incredibly dull. It was like a late night infomercial, only more patronizing. When Cabel Sasser, founder of Mac software maker Panic Inc., got ahold of it, though, it became much, much more interesting. Check it out!

Wow. It’s a sure sign that the pain of 9/11 is beginning to wear thin when they start working the event into parodies. Still, great video.
