Microsoft has announced that Halo 3 for Xbox 360 is expected to be on store shelves September 25. Early predictions are that sales of Halo 3 will surpass Halo 2′s, which reached $125 million within the first 24 hours of its release in 2004.

According to Microsoft, Halo 3 will be available in three versions:

• Standard – no frills edition for $59.99
• Limited – collectors edition including features about the making of the game for $69.99
• Legendary edition – includes a large metal helmet that looks like Master Chief’s for $129.99

If you can’t wait until September 25th to start having some fun, you can download the beta through June 6th.

The Lord of the Rings: Shadows of Angmar, the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) set in J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle Earth, in the same time period as The Lord of the Rings books.
