Invading The Vintage

  • Invading The Vintage is a gallery of amazing photography that bills itself as the “cute aliens invading grandpa’ postcards.”

Film

  • The first viral site promoting Tron 2 has gone live: Flynn Lives.
  • Hollywood.com offers A Visual Guide to Hollywood’s Most Eccentric Directors.
  • Premiere.com has compiled a list of The 40 Most Beautiful Hollywood Women, but I seriously don’t understand how Jessica Biel keeps getting onto these lists. Am I the only one over her?
  • SciFi Wire has posted a five minute clip of the animated scifi movie 9. It look like it’s going to be the best animated movie to come out in years.
  • When I look back at the Decade of Disturbing Films for Children that was the eighties, I find it amazing that our generation isn’t even more screwed up than we are.

Literature

  • Free Fiction: Listen to “The Empire of Ice Cream” by Jeffery Ford read by Mike Boris at StarShip Sofa.
  • Free Fiction: Listen to “Slow Sculpture” by Theodore Sturgeon read by Spider Robinsonat Spider on the Web.
  • Free Fiction: Listen to “The Water Tower” by John Mantooth read by Mark Bukovec at Fantasy Magazine.
  • Free Fiction: Listen to “The Edge Of The Map” by Ian Creasey at Dunesteef.
  • Interview: Dead Robots Society interviews author Kevin J. Anderson.
  • Interview: Dragon Page interviews David Weber, author of “By Heresies Distressed.”
  • Interview: The Nebula Awards interviews James Alan Gardner, author of “The Ray-Gun: A Love Story.”
  • Book Square explains Why The B&N Store Isn’t Competition for Amazon.
  • A truly, truly chilling look into the future: Why 2024 Will Be Like Nineteen Eighty-Four. A discussion of how Amazon’s remote deletion of e-books from the Kindle paves the way for book-banning’s digital future.

Television

  • Den of Geek’s list of the Top 10 Buffy The Vampire Slayer Episodes is fodder for argument or I’m not a geek. Personally, I think Once More, With Feeling gets robbed at number six.
