I've seen where the sponsor logos on the ice would change between periods, so I know they're not buried in the ice like the old-fashioned ones used to be. Also, there was talk at one time of NASCAR doing this for teams that didn't have a main sponsor, where they'd impose one on the hood and roof of the car.
