Films
Three films open in theaters this Friday, April 11th – none of them look to have any particular Geek appeal.
- Prom Night (Horror) Donna’s senior prom is supposed to be the best night of her life, but a sadistic killer from her past has different plans for her.
- Smart People (Comedy) A widowed professor falls in love and receives an unexpected visit from his adopted brother.
- Street Kings (Drama) A veteran officer is implicated in the death of his wife, and he suddenly finds himself doubting everyone around him.
Home Video
- Lions For Lambs (Thriller) Two injured Army rangers caught behind enemy lines sets actions in motion involving a journalist, a politician, and a professor. A weak movie with a very convoluted plotline.
Video Games
Slim pickings this week in terms of video games. In games, the most exciting release by far is the Atlus dungeon crawler, Baroque. The title was previously been released for the Sega Saturn and PlayStation. Word from early reviewers is that this game will be extremely difficult.
Games will be released to retailers on Tuesday, April 8th, and hit the shelves of major North American retailers by Wednesday, April 9th.
