Microsoft offers US $250,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the creator of Mydoom.B, the Mydoom variant designed to launch a distributed denial-of-service attack on the company’s website. However, even as the hunt for the worm’s creator intensifies, the spread of Mydoom.B begins to decline as bugs in its code prevent it from spreading as rapidly as first anticipated.
2007

Swiss police announce that they have arrested sixteen suspects and seized 1.1 tons (1.2 U.S. tons) of marijuana as well as cash and assets valued at 900,000 Swiss francs (US$780,000) as the result of the discovery of a large marijuana plantation discovered last year using Google Earth.
2010
Google announced that it will discontinue its support for Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 6 web browser beginning March 1st after discovering that the application was exploited in the cyberattacks launched against the search engine earlier in the month. Read the original announcement.
The series finale of science fiction television series Dollhouse, “Epitaph Two: Return” airs on FOX. (No. 26) It was canceled due to its poor ratings, but the network warned director Joss Whedon early enough in the season that he was able to write a conclusion to the series’ storyline.
