Monday, October 15th, The Price is Right will premiere it’s thirty-sixth season with a new host, Drew Carey. After thirty-five years, legendary host Bob Barker has left a distinctive mark on America, and the show is certainly never going to be the same. How exactly the show will change hasn’t yet been revealed by CBS, though. So, I thought I’d make a few predictions myself.
10. There are now two television shows from which mentioning “Geppetto” is banned.
9. Each day, the announcer will call people down from the audience in a new improv style.
8. The show features the same four contestants each week: Colin Mochrie, Greg Proops, Ryan Stiles, and Wayne Brady.
7. Contestants will now be competing to win fabulous all-paid vacations to Cleveland.
6. The show will include a host of new games, such as “Name that Beer,” “Guess what left the Stain,” “Let’s Make a Date,” and “Scenes Prices from a Hat.”
5. The host doesn’t get cranky half way through the show anymore.
4. Barker’s Beauties will be replaced by Kathy Kinney and John Carroll Lynch, both, unfortunately, dressed in low cut gowns.
3. Adam Sandler can finally beat the crap out of the host.
2. In Carey’s version of the game there are no points and everyone wins.
1. The showcase showdown now consists of an improv hoedown instead of bidding.
