A German publisher said it will print a book containing thousands of entries of the online user-edited encyclopedia Wikipedia.
Bertelsmann said the book to appear in September will include 50,000 of the most commonly used Wikipedia contributions.
In a statement, Bertelsmann said the action hopes to “reach new target groups which will get to know the Wikipedia project,” reports AFP.
As part of the publishing arrangement, for each $31.95 book sold, one euro will be donated to Wikimedia, the organization which directs Wikipedia and other projects.
